More than two decades after redefining tag team wrestling in WWE, the Hardy Boyz may not be finished with the company just yet. In a recent text, which was responded to by one of the company’s producers, Matt and Jeff Hardy confirmed they consistently talk to WWE about working together.
Matt and Jeff Hardy, currently reigning as TNA World Tag Team Champions in TNA Wrestling, confirmed they are in ongoing discussions with WWE about future appearances. While they have no plans to return full-time, Matt made it clear fans can expect more crossover moments before 2026 is over.
“We’re in constant negotiations with WWE about doing some more stuff,” he said, emphasizing that any return would need to complement their current TNA run rather than replace it.
Hurricane Helms, who joked that he was the one taking the calls when Hardy reached out, responded, “Every time @MATTHARDYBRAND calls me, I answer just so that I can hang up on him.”
The Hardys In WWE Just Makes Sense
Now back in TNA, Matt and Jeff Hardy have appeared for NXT on a couple of occasions. They have such a rich history in WWE, that it only makes sense they would eventually make their way to Raw or SmackDown, or better yet a major premium live event.

The legendary brothers briefly appeared in WWE programming last year and with WWE’s evolving partnerships and increased collaboration with other promotions, this shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Matt noted that their current role allows them to contribute creatively and elevate younger talent — something that clearly matters to them at this stage of their careers.
For now, the Hardys are balancing working and making appearances at conferences as they wind down their respective in-ring careers. If negotiations continue trending in the right direction, fans could see them get one more run, even if minor, in the WWE.
