Trade buzz has followed Myles Garrett around throughout his career with the Cleveland Browns, though it’s almost always been shut down rather quickly.
That appeared to be the case again this offseason, as GM Andrew Berry recently insisted that Garrett is a Brown and would remain one long term. But was he telling the truth?
Perhaps not, because now that the calendar has turned to June, Mary Kay Cabot is reporting that Cleveland is more willing than ever to discuss a Garrett trade, and that the Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, and Dallas Cowboys are suitors to keep an eye on.
“It’s June 1, and Myles Garrett trade winds are approaching gale force. Will someone make the Browns an offer they can’t refuse? The June 1 date is significant because the Browns restructured Garrett’s contract in March in a way that makes him easier to trade after the 4 p.m. deadline, with his original March option bonuses over the next three years deferred until seven days before the start of the regular season.
There might be some fire where the smoke is coming from in regard to the possibility of Garrett being moved. Teams rumored to have interest are the Rams, Eagles, and Cowboys, but nothing has been substantiated,”
The 30-year-old Garrett signed a four-year, $160 million contract extension with the Browns last March. He’s coming off a spectacular 2025 season in which he set the NFL record for sacks with 23 and won his second career Defensive Player of the Year award.

Given that Cleveland is rebuilding and nowhere close to being a contender, moving Garrett does make sense for both parties at this point.
His value isn’t going to get any higher than it is right now, so the Browns have an opportunity to take advantage and land a massive haul to further expedite their rebuild, while in turn allowing the superstar pass rusher the chance to chase a championship elsewhere.
We’ll see where this goes, but as Cabot said, where there’s smoke, there’s fire — and there is a lot of smoke around a potential blockbuster Garrett trade right now.
