WrestleMania 40 is going to go down as the biggest WrestleMania in the company’s history and WWE is pulling out all the stops. With two huge nights of in-ring action, a number of surprises are expected, including the returns of some WWE legends. Among them, are The Undertaker, John Cena, and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
“Nothing is official but the belief right now is that Steve Austin, Undertaker and John Cena will have something at WrestleMania in some form. At press time, there is no creative locked in for Cena and Austin at this moment, or if there is it’s a well-guarded secret. A lot depends on how much they are willing to do and money.
They add that Cena is free but depending on what acting stuff he has and how quickly after he’s filming would determine how much he can or can’t do for insurance reasons. Austin and Undertaker would be based on the willingness they have to get involved.
Cena already hinted that he’d be appearing during a spot on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. He noted he knew exactly where WrestleMania was happening and had the night off. If The Undertaker is going to make an appearance at WrestleMania 40, it will likely be for a segment where he just makes an entrance, or he hits someone with a chokeslam. He noted on a recent episode of his podcast that he wouldn’t dare try a Tombstone with his brand-new knees.
Austin might be the one person who could be involved in a surprise match. He’s stayed in great shape and if the right situation were to present itself and the money made sense, he could be talked into a match. That said, there has been no hint from WWE that he would be involved and WrestleMania 40 is only a couple of weeks away.
WrestleMania 40 Is Going To Be a Huge
Even without these three legends, this year’s WrestleMania is expected to be absolutely massive. With The Rock, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, and Bayley, along with so many others taking center stage, the two nights will be jam-packed.
