The Rock Returning to Fast & Furious Franchise with New Film

The Fast and Furious franchise has always been known for its high-octane action, thrilling car races, and memorable characters. With each installment, the series keeps fans on the edge of their seats, craving more adrenaline-pumping adventures. Recently, an exciting announcement has sent shockwaves through the fan community: a new Hobbs movie will be dropping before Fast X Part 2.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who portrays the charismatic Luke Hobbs, took to his social media platforms to confirm the news. This revelation follows his cameo appearance in Fast X, leaving fans eagerly anticipating what’s to come. However, it’s important to note that this new movie will not be a sequel to the 2019 film ‘Hobbs & Shaw.’ Rather, the upcoming Hobbs movie will serve as a bridge between Fast X: Part 1 and Fast X: Part 2.

The Rock noted in a video on Thursday, “The next Fast & Furious film you’ll see the legendary lawman in will be the HOBBS movie that will serve as a fresh, new chapter & set up for FASTX: Part II Last summer Vin and I put all the past behind us. We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve – and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love.”

This strategic move allows the franchise to expand the narrative and delve deeper into the beloved character of Luke Hobbs, offering fans a more comprehensive and immersive experience. It’s an ingenious way to prolong the excitement and turn the conclusion of this series into three thrilling parts.

One fan wrote on Twitter, “As a devoted fan of the Fast and Furious saga, I was both thrilled and slightly disappointed with F9. However, Fast X was a refreshing and enjoyable watch, and witnessing The Rock in the post-credits scene made my heart leap with joy. The clash between Hobbs and Dante promises to make Fast X: Part 2 even mightier and more intense.” The Rock told fans if they thought his clashes with Stone Cold Steve Austin in WWE were something, wait until they see what the Fast and Furious franchise has planned for his clashes with Dante, the villain from Fast X.

Will This Delay Or Puts The Boots To a WWE Return?

As for what this means for any possible return to WWE, another big project likely only lessens the odds of him making a return and challenging Roman Reigns in a match at next year’s WrestleMania. Could he make an appearance to promote the film? Sure. But, to expect him to have a match, especially as Fast X Part II has to wait for him to finish filming and releasing his stand-alone movie means delaying their next installment. It doesn’t make much sense to do so.
