The Rock Calls Out Roman Reigns During Raw Return Appearance

WWE’s Raw Day 1 event for the first day of 2024 has come and gone, and what a show it was. Heading into the program, Triple H had sent out a tweet telling fans to “stay tuned” regarding rumors a former WWE champion could make an appearance, leading to every wrestling fan wondering what that could mean. AEW star MJF recently lost his title to Samoa Joe, so some fans were getting ahead of themselves and wondering if it may be him showing up., Instead, it was none other than… Jinder Mahal?

Fortunately, WWE was just kidding. While Mahal made an appearance and looked stronger than ever, it was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who surprised everybody and made his return to WWE. While most fans expected the classic Rock beatdown and leaving, it ended up being a much more important segment than that. Of course, this was after The Rock laid the smackdown to Mahal.

The Rock Sends A Strong Message to Roman Reigns, and WWE Sends Message to Fans

While the Rock joked classically with the crowd as he’s done so well throughout his legendary career, he made it clear what his intentions were, even though some fans may have had to read through the lines a little bit. When asking the fans where Rock should sit when he goes to get food, to where the fans blew up at the mention of sitting at the bar, it was nothing close to the pop Rock got when he asked if he should sit at the Head of the Table.

The Rock returns to WWE Raw

Roman Reigns has referred to himself as the Tribal Chief, the Chosen One, and the Head of the Table amongst other things, but it was clear the Rock has it in his mind to take down his real-life cousin and finally end the longest championship reign in WWE history.

It seems as though fans are finally going to get to see The Rock take on Roman Reigns, which has been years in the making. It may not make sense for Reigns to drop the title to his cousin as he likely won’t be around for long and will go back to making movies, nothing is impossible in WWE.
