Former WWE Star Bo Dallas Backstage at Monday Night Raw

Amidst rumors that Bo Dallas might be the person behind the Uncle Howdy mask on SmackDown, the former WWE Superstar is apparently backstage at WWE Raw tonight. Whether he’s scheduled to make an appearance is unclear. Should he, it means one of two things: Dallas is not playing the Uncle Howdy character, or Uncle Howdy is scheduled to make an appearance for the red brand.

One can never be too certain what new creative head Triple H has in mind and with the WWE up against some stiff college football championship competition ( a game between Georgia and TCU), he may try to pull out all the stops to keep fans engaged. As, with The Royal Rumble around the corner and a first-ever Pitch Black Match scheduled between Bray Wyatt and LA Knight, who knows what WWE has up its sleeve.

Fightful Select and PWInsider are both reporting that Dallas is backstage at tonight’s Raw taping in Birmingham, Alabama. The former NXT and Raw Tag Team Champion is the real-life brother of Bray Wyatt and there have been rumors for the past few months that Dallas might make a return to the company. He was released in April 2021, as part of a number of cutbacks by WWE.

Outside of one appearance on Raw after he made his return to WWE, Wyatt has been exclusively on SmackDown. That makes the news that Bo Dallas is backstage at Raw all the more intriguing. Why bring him to the brand he likely won’t appear on if he’s part of Wyatt’s storyline?

Back in April, Dallas said he wanted to return to wrestling during a Q&A at the For the Love of Wrestling convention. He noted:

“I’m the furthest from done with wrestling that you could possibly be. I spent the past year diving into a bunch of different ventures outside of wrestling, but wrestling has never left my heart — not for one second. And I just wanted to get a couple things done before I dive back into something that I really cared about.
