“The Beast”, Brock Lesnar Retires from WWE At WrestleMania 42

It appears Brock Lesnar has retired from WWE. Leaving his boots and gloves in the ring after suffering a loss at the hands of Oba Femi, Lesnar waved to the crowd, hugged Paul Heyman, and left his ring gear in the center of the squared circle.

The sequence indicated that Lesnar was done in WWE, calling it a career without any formal warning prior to the company’s biggest show of the year.

WWE didn’t outright say that Lesnar was retiring. Michael Cole and Wade Barrett both acted shocked, as if to indicate that no one saw the decision coming. If it’s is true, Lesnar went out putting over Femi in a major way. Femi dominated their match, one that opened night two.

Lesnar debuted in WWE in 2000 and quickly rose to stardom, winning the WWE Championship at age 25 in 2002. He became the youngest champion ever. After a dominant run and a shocking departure in 2004, he conquered UFC and returned to WWE in 2012.

Lesnar became a multi-time WWE, Universal, and World Heavyweight Champion, headlining WrestleManias with iconic matches against John Cena, Roman Reigns, Goldberg, and Seth Rollins. He was also the only competitor to defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania, ending his infamous streak.
